AFFECTED DEVICES: Lenovo R500 (2716WZG) and Dell Latitude E6420 (P15G)

PROBLEM: There has been a widespread problem discovered as staff returned regarding wireless for some staff. This does not a appear to be a network issue as the only devices affected are elementary K-3 staff laptops and WRHS staff laptops (Elementary 4-6, WRMS, and WRHS tablets do not appear to have the issue).

The problem is that the staff laptops do not auto connect to the 437Wireless network as designed. On the K-3 laptops, this appears to happen after staff take their laptops home and connect it their home wireless network. The high school staff laptops are also having a problem but cause is still being determined.

At this time, please refrain from connecting your laptop wirelessly outside of school if you have one of the affected laptops until a fix is in place.

WORKAROUND: Please refrain from connecting your laptop wirelessly to other networks until the fix has implemented on your laptop.

UPDATE (08/15/2016): We have a fix for the problem in relation to the Dell Latitude (K-3 Teachers). We are working through all of the laptops to try and implement the fix, but it is a lengthy process. SchoolDude tickets are processed first so please put in a ticket if you plan to use your laptop outside of the school. We are still working on a permanent fix for the WRHS staff laptops.

UPDATE (09/14/2016): We have a fix for the WRHS staff laptops. We are working through that list currently.
