=Desktop Computer=
===I can't log into Novell or access the internet.===
Make sure your network cable is securely connected to the network port of your computer as well as the wall jack.

If you have a phone, your network connection may run through your phone, so please ensure the following path is in place:
*Connector on back of computer to "10/100 PC" port on back of phone.
*"10/100 SW" connection to the wall jack.
''Ensure the wall jack you're plugging in to is not orange, as this is a specialty jack for SMARTboard connections only.

=Laptop Computer=

===I can access the internet, but cannot log in to Novell===

This usually indicates a failure in the wired connection in conjunction with a guest connection on the wireless network. If you've followed the above steps, and verified you are not connected to the guest wireless network, please submit an IT Helpdesk Support ticket.

=Port Replicators=

====I can't login to the network when using my replicator====
Make sure everything is plugged in securely on the Port Replicator, laptop, and wall. 
Check the following on your laptop:
#USB cable from the Port Replicator is plugged into the USB port closest to the Network port<br>
#If correct check the Port Replicator for a green light on the front indicating the power is on.<br>
#If no light verify the power cable is plugged into both the Port Replicator and Wall
#If no light appears after verify connection, put in a SchoolDude ITDirect ticket.

====Two lights where the network cable is plugged in.====
If no lights verify the network cable is plugged into the Port Replicator and the phone/wall.<br>
If plugged into the phone check that your phone is working.<br>
If correct Reboot your computer and try logging in again. 

====If you still cannot log in try the following:====
#Turn off your laptop.<br>
#Unplug the network cable from the Port Replicator.<br>
#Plug the network cable into your laptop.<br>
#Turn on your laptop.<br>
#Verify there is a green light and an amber light where the cable is plugged in.<br>
#Try to login.<br>
If these steps do not work you will need to log into the wireless network and put in a SchoolDude ITDirect ticket.
